Who Are We?
Kadampa Meditation Center Plymouth, is part of an international community, The International Kadampa Buddhist Union - New Kadampa Tradition (IKBU-NKT), dedicated to following the Buddhist path. Our community consists of a small group of residents – people who live onsite at KMC Pymouth, including ordained monks and nuns – and a larger community who live in the Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall area.

There are over 1300 centres similar to ours across the world on every continent, forming a truly international family of Kadampa practitioners. Find out more HERE.

What Do We Do?
We aim to create a peaceful environment where people can learn to meditate, cultivating inner peace and lasting happiness. All of our Centre’s activities depend upon the kindness of our community. Every Kadampa Centre is completely run by volunteers and it is through the generous support of the community that we are able to offer classes and courses throughout Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall.

What Will The New Centre Be Like?
Our new meditation space in Plymouth will be a quiet and spacious place, with air conditioning and soundproofing, and will offer the perfect setting to take time out of our busy lives to enjoy the opportunity to engage in meditation. Seating will be on comfortable chairs and audio-visual links will be in place for larger events. We will also have the largest Buddhist shrine in the southwest of the UK, with beautiful statues and meaningful objects which everyone can enjoy.
