Chanted Meditations
These events take place in the Meditation Room.

Everyone is welcome to the Wishfulfilling Jewel puja which usually includes 20 minutes for a silent meditation in the middle. This practice helps to inspire and protect the understandings we gain in our meditations.
Offering to the Spiritual Guide puja takes place twice a month, on the 10th and 25th day.
These poetic chanted verses illuminate the entire path to enlightenment. They have been chanted for hundreds of years in Tibet and India and give a sense of the timelessness and authenticity of the Kadampa Buddhist Faith.
The Melodious Drum puja is chanted once a month on the 29th day. This powerful practice is done to overcome difficulties in spiritual progress and to protect sincere practitioners from future difficulties.
Precepts are taken on the 15th day of each month at 6.30am. This is a purification practice when we eat one meal - lunch at 12.30pm and then refrain from any other food for the rest of the day. It is also a time to refrain from negative thoughts, speech and actions.
Tara puja is chanted every Monday from 6pm - 6.45pm.Buddha Tara is a female Buddha who helps to rescue us swiftly from mental problems and physical dangers in much the same way as a mother cares for her children.
Dakini Yoga is for those with Highest Yoga Tantra Empowerments only.
Sojong Ceremony is for ordained people only.
Powa Ceremony is for those who have died recently. It is a very peaceful and uplifting method of helping our friends and relatives who have died to take a fortunate rebirth.
Buddha's Enlightenment Day is marked each year with special prayers. There will be three sessions on 15th April (7.15-8.30am, 9.30-10.30am and 2.30-3.45pm).
