Kadam Ben Seel, Principal Teacher at Ashoka Centre
"If I now have any ability to teach Dharma it is entirely through the kindness of Buddha.
The Dharma I am giving is the supreme gift of temporary and ultimate benefit to others".
Venerable Geshe Kelsand Gyatso
Kadam Ben Seel has been the Principal Teacher at Ashoka Centre since early 2010. He has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism and meditation under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and senior teachers of the New Kadampa Tradition since 1995.
From 2000-2010 he lived, studied and trained as a teacher at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in Cumbria. During that time he taught meditation classes in Wigan & Lancaster, and led many weekend courses at Manjushri Centre itself. He presents Buddha's teachings with clear and logical explanations, with warmth and clarity. Ben is greatly appreciated for his inspiring example.
As well as teaching both the Foundation Programme and Teacher Training Programme, Ben teaches drop-in meditation classes at Ashoka Centre on Wednesday & Thursday evenings plus various day courses, workshops and meditation retreats.
